Our heart and vascular services

Our heart doctors use advanced technology to diagnose heart conditions, working with you to carefully tailor the treatment plan to your unique needs.

Heart screening and imaging

We offer heart screening and imaging services to diagnose cardiovascular diseases. Some of these services include:

  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Echocardiography
  • Electrocardiography
  • Stress testing
Echocardiograms

Echocardiograms are ultrasounds of the heart. These noninvasive diagnostic exams allow cardiologists to assess the functionality of the heart.

Electrocardiogram monitoring

Electrocardiograms (EKGs) involve monitoring the rhythm of a patient's heart for 24 to 48 hours. This noninvasive medical procedure allows our doctors to detect conditions that may require treatments such as pacemaker implantation or medication.

Cardiac catheterization

Our cardiac catheterization lab is equipped with specialized imaging systems, which allow excellent visualization of the blood vessels of the heart.

Cardiac catheterization involves injecting a contrast dye into a patient's coronary arteries and using X-ray imaging to detect any blockages. This minimally invasive technique is also used in peripheral vascular and renal angiograms.

Treadmill stress tests

Treadmill stress tests are noninvasive diagnostic exams that involve a patient walking on a treadmill. As the patient exercises, their heart is monitored. This allows us to detect any potential cardiac conditions.

Heart attack treatment

When it comes to treating a heart attack, every minute counts. Our cardiac and emergency teams are available 24/7 to provide patients with rapid, lifesaving heart attack treatment.

We have been recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology for our dedication to advanced heart attack care.

Heart attack symptoms

Recognizing a heart attack is not easy. Heart attack symptoms often are subtle, but may include one or more of the following:

  • Pain or tightness in the chest, jaw, shoulders or upper back
  • Shortness of breath
  • Weakness, dizziness, nausea or vomiting
  • Unusual onset of fatigue or discomforting in the arms, back, neck or stomach

If you are experiencing chest discomfort or think you may be having a heart attack, call 911 immediately.

Cardiovascular treatments and procedures

Some of our cardiovascular treatments include:

  • Coronary stenting/balloon angioplasty
  • Peripheral vascular angiography
  • Renal angiography
