Lake City, FL - At the Business Excellence Awards Celebration Ceremony held at the Holiday Inn Lake City on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, The Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce awarded several awards for excellence in the Lake City Business Landscape. Among these awards were Best New Business, Citizen of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, and Employer of the Year. Nominations for these awards were submitted by Chamber Membership, and the winners were decided upon by a panel of independent judges from the Lake City community.

The winners announced for these awards are as follows:

  • Citizen of the Year: Jay Swisher of Col. County Sheriff’s Office
  • Young Professional of the Year: Noah Walker of Lake City Medical Center
  • Best New Business: Halpatter Brewing Company
  • Employer of the Year: Lake City Medical Center

The winners were cited for their contributions to the Lake City Community and all received high praise through third party interviews, which were shown by video during the awards luncheon.

As the employer of the year, LCMC received recognition for their employee driven workplace programs, employee driven community outreach, advancement in local healthcare provision, atmosphere, strength of mission and commitment to care.
