Primary Care Centers of Live Oak and Jasper Welcome New Practitioner

March 13, 2011

Lake City, FL - The Primary Care Centers of Live Oak and Jasper are proud to welcome Yvonne Billups, ARNP, as the newest member of their medical staff. With over 18 years of experience in Adult and Family Practice, Billups is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of Registered Nursing experience prior to her certification as a Nurse Practitioner.  Yvonne and her husband Randy have been residents of Live Oak for over 10 years and have four children and seven grandchildren. As an avid runner who has completed several marathons, Yvonne understands the need for a healthy lifestyle, including regular screenings and check-ups – an important part of the mission of both Primary Care Centers.

“It is important to take charge of your healthcare and be proactive in maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” says Billups. “It is vital to practice preventative medicine by having regular check-ups with a medical professional you can trust who will treat you as a person, not as an illness. And that’s just what we do at the Primary Care Center – we treat our neighbors, business associates, and fellow community members.”

Billups received her Associate Degree of Science as a Registered Nurse and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Miami University of Ohio. After working as a Registered Nurse for 13 years, she continued her education at the University of South Florida and received her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in 1993.
